Gjonaj Group Holdings participated in the international forum “Developing an Indo-Mediterranean Perspective through the IMEC Network” in Trieste, Italy, upon invitation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic.
This high-level forum brought together institutional representatives and business leaders from Europe, the Mediterranean region, India, the Middle East, and the United States, focusing on the development and implementation of the strategic India–Middle East–Europe Corridor (IMEC).
Gjonaj Group expressed its interest in making concrete investments in the field of clean solar energy, either independently or in collaboration with Italian partners.
Participants were welcomed by Mr. Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy. The forum included important institutional discussions as well as dedicated panels on energy, digital connectivity, and infrastructure development, highlighting the key role of IMEC in reshaping global trade and logistics networks.
Mr. Gentian Jahja, senior executive of Gjonaj Group Holdings, held important meetings with high-level representatives from industry and international institutions, where the company’s energy projects and future investment interests were presented. Among the most notable meetings were those with Mr. Hugo Yon, Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of State (Bureau of Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs); Mr. Marco Consalvo, President of Trieste Marine Terminal; Mr. Andrea Fischetti, IMEC Coordinator at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Zoran Dimitrevski, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia; Mr. Ahmed Shash, diplomat at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Mr. Afaq Hussain, a well-known expert in international economic corridors and interregional cooperation, among others.
Additional meetings were held with representatives from the University of Denver, Atlantic Council, International Chamber of Shipping, The Levant Express, and others.
Participation in this event is part of Gjonaj Group Holdings’ strategy to further strengthen its presence in the international arena and to build sustainable partnerships, particularly in the energy sector with Italian and international partners, as well as in telecommunications.
